Activities
Inspire, Engage
& Stimulate
At TWH we believe our level of wellness is not exclusive to our physical health. Activities can greatly contribute to the integrity of an individual's health and wellness which is why social interaction and engagement is an integral part of life at TWHNH. Our comprehensive activity programme ensures there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Variety & Choice
Our weekly activities include flower arranging, sewing & knitting, games & quiz mornings, music sessions and exercise classes to name but a few, as well as our entertainment programme of live shows & performances from singers, musicians and schools.
We also have tailored one-to-one time for those who prefer quieter activities in the comfort of their room.

Sensory Experiences
Our dedicated Activities and Care Team take great pride in ensuring that every resident’s individual needs, preferences, and abilities are thoughtfully supported.
We offer a range of personalised sessions, including Namaste sensory experiences and one-to-one activities designed to promote relaxation, comfort, and emotional wellbeing. These calming sessions gently engage the senses through light and aroma therapy, exploring different textures, exercises promoting dexterity as well as soothing hand and head massages. Sometimes, it’s simply about enjoying a friendly chat—creating meaningful moments that help residents feel valued, relaxed, and at ease.
We are also welcome regular visits from our Pet-As-Therapy dog, offering residents the opportunity for gentle, one-to-one interaction. These special visits bring comfort, companionship, and plenty of smiles.
Interactive Technology
At The White House our giant Interactive Touch Table brings all the benefits of technology to our Activities Programme.
Whether its playing games, watching videos or taking a virtual trip to their hometown, this incredible piece of equipment is portable and can be moved from room to room bringing fun, variety and meaningfulness to all our residents lives.
Additionally, we have a Reminiscence/Rehabilitation & Interactive Therapy Activities unit (RITA), an innovative touch-screen solution that blends entertainment with therapeutic digital activities, including videos, games, and
art sessions.

We make a special effort to ensure that birthdays and anniversaries are celebrated in style. Special occasions including Christmas, Easter, New Years, Diwali, Chinese New Year, St Patrick’s Day, St George’s Day e.t.c are always a reason for a party.
National and international events such as Royal Weddings, Jubilees and Olympic Games are celebrated with plenty of pomp and ceremony. We also hold fairs and events throughout the year where families are always welcome to come and join in with the celebrations.
Trips Out
At The White House Nursing Home, we believe that staying active and connected to the community is an essential part of wellbeing. That’s why we provide our own private, wheelchair-accessible transport, giving residents the freedom and independence to enjoy regular outings in comfort and safety.
Our residents take part in a wide range of trips, from visiting local shops and community events to exploring beautiful nearby destinations such as Richmond Park, Chessington Garden Centre, and Garson’s Farm. We also arrange special excursions further afield, including London sightseeing tours, seaside visits to Brighton, and unforgettable days out at Woburn Safari Park.
Every outing is thoughtfully planned to ensure our residents can continue to enjoy new experiences, social interaction, and the world around them.
