Our in house catering and flexible dining options aims to provide an enjoyable dining experience, in addition to meeting health and optimal nutrition needs. Our expert chefs design our menus to provide balance, variety and quality.
Mealtimes are a pleasant and sociable experience for residents who wish to dine with others and we also cater for those who wish to dine in the comfort of their rooms. All meals are freshly prepared by our resident chef and ensure nutritional guidelines are met, and any dietary requirements are catered for.
Meals are planned with a main lunch meal and lighter supper to support digestion. The Home offers a four-week rotating menu that features at least two main meal options daily, including both traditional and regional dishes, as well as lighter bites.
Our talented chefs also create beautifully baked and decorated birthday cakes to celebrate residents’ special days. Additionally, they prepare delicious themed food to enhance our special events, whether it be pancakes for Shrove Tuesday or Haggis for Burns Night!
Alongside promotion of good nutrition, monitoring of each resident’s weight is carried out on a regular basis. Any significant fluctuations in weight are always brought to the attention of the General Practitioner so that appropriate action may be taken.
