A ROYAL DAY TO REMEMBER
TWH'S AJITHA AND SALIMA ATTEND THE KINGS ROYAL GARDEN PARTY FOLLOWING AJITHA'S SUCCESSFUL NOMINATION BY THE NCA.
Both Ajitha and Salima were the proud and honoured attendees of the King's Royal Garden Party this year on 3rd May at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the impending Coronation of King Charles III.
Following Salima's successful nomination of Ajitha; both were among around 8000 attendees of the Royal Garden Party event, which have traditionally been held over the years by the Royal family as an opportunity to recognise and reward those who have made a positive impact in their communities.
Ajitha has shared her experience of being part of the prestigious event below: "The experience at the Palace was hugely overwhelming, the magnificence of being inside the gates of Buckingham Palace and seeing King Charles III and other Royal guests in the beautiful palatial surroundings with all the ceremony, guards and brass bands was an incredible experience. Being amongst people who came from all walks of life and had made significant contributions and achievements was a real privilege. I chose Nursing to care for people, to make small differences in their lives with empathy and compassion and also inspired by my parents. Coming from a small town in India to the United Kingdom was a journey filled with hardships, determination and constant hard work to build a career so to be recognised in this way was truly overwhelming. I am tremendously thankful to my family, the directors, staff, Residents, families for supporting and trusting me with my job.
The opportunity to attend the Palace was not something I imagined in my wildest dreams and I am extremely grateful to Salima, Rahim and NCA for nominating me and recognising for the work we as a team have done together over the years. It was an honour and privilege to be there and represent TWH at the Royal Garden Party and a memory which will stay with me forever."
Our thanks again goes to the NCA for affording this wonderful and well deserved opportunity for Ajitha as well as to all our friends and families for all your congratulatory messages and good wishes which made their Palace visit even more special.
